Murderfam Mingle - shiptrap reunion because we said so
[One moment, you were in one place. The next moment, a black hole opened up under your feet and you fell through.
Huh. Weird.
Now you're in a dense forest, a top a huge mountain. It might take a moment to notice, but it's actually part of a chain of mountains. There's a small town at the base, but that's a long, long walk. Better to appreciate the vibrant forest, the rushing rivers and the plentiful wildlife, yes? There's monkeys in the trees, fish in the river and the occasional pterodactyl in the sky. You might even come across an old man, friendly enough and seemingly unafraid of strangers. He's the only human you'll find on this mountain, as he'll happily tell you, but it's probably worth exploring anyway.
After all, it's not just humans you're looking for.]

So, deciding to play along first he looks up at Clarine and raises an eyebrow. ] Excuse me? What are you even talking about?
[ Small huff. Gosh! The nerve of this girl just coming up to Hijikata Hijikatason and nonchalantly asking if he remembers! Remembers what?! Wow! Of course... He's kidding. With a small smile he waves his hand a bit. ]
Joking. You caught me... I ended up changing my mind.

She smacks him with her staff, and none-too-gently at that, on the top of his head. She doesn't hit him super hard though. Her STR stat is still nonexistent.]

Hey, hey. Calm down... Geez!
[ He crosses his arms with a very unamused expression as he stares back at Clarine. ] Maybe I would have better jokes but 'fun' isn't really in my vocabulary.
[ Shrug! ] Are you saying you didn't miss me? That hurts. [ Of course, there's an easing edge to his tone of voice, and he smirks. ] I was going to say I missed you too but I guess I'll take it back.
[ Okay he's trying to act like he's still tough and doesn't actually have attachment to this dumb murderfam but it's kind of obvious that he's telling the truth okay!!! Ugh, darn you murderfam you turned him into a softie again? ]

[Ugh...after a moment, despite knowing that she didn't hurt him very badly, she lifts the staff she was carrying, and a gently blue light emits from it.
It's nice to have her abilities back--but either way, it'll soothe away all of Hijikata's hurts. HEALING MAGIC YEAH.]

[ Honestly!!! However, that was more sarcastic than berating if anything. He's sort of in a good mood so he's not really going to ruin it all by actually lecturing Clarine- especially after it's been pretty long since they've seen each other.
Why is the staff glowing? What is it doing? What is she doing to him!!! Ugh, he's too... Old for this what the fuck is this black magic...
However, he does feel some certain pain that's actually been in his legs for what... Almost four months now. Mostly because in Edo Hijikata did injure his legs in a battle- while it healed later there were some moments where they just couldn't move if he pushed to hard: mostly why he was resting just now, just a precaution! To his surprise, he stretches out his legs... No hint of soreness, overall, no pain. ]
Huh... What the hell did you just do? [ He stands... No pain still. Huh! ] Huh, it's like you knew- or were you just trying to match my sarcasm? Geez... You kids have no manners these days.
[ Okay, now you just sound old Hijikata... ]

Did I not tell you that I am a healer? [God, nobody took her magic seriously at all back on murderisland!!! Considering she couldn't use any of it, that was probably pretty fair though. She props one hand on her hip, inspecting him thoughtfully.]
Were you truly injured, Hijikata? Why did you not say so? I am capable of taking care of nearly any injury, now that my magic is back.

It kind of slipped my mind. [ Ugh listen I'm just a simple samurai. All magic is black magic! Sort of. HE DOESN'T BELIEVE IN IT OKAY! ]

But yeah, I injured my legs back in Edo when I went to plead for Kondo-san's life so... It's been hard to walk. A lot has happened lately- hopefully at least everything back at your home has been okay, hm?

Ah, but... Saving the world, huh. That's pretty big. It's good that everything is working out though- going to spend the rest of your days relaxing, I bet. [ Small nod... ] I'm jealous. [ While he's always busy and he prefers to be so sometimes he just loves his naps? Where are they. ]

[Huff.... she's just going to run a practiced eye over his legs, before lifting her staff to attempt just a bit more healing magic, just in case she missed something.

I do not intend to simply sit around relaxing, regardless. That sounds horribly boring and tedious. I have decided for myself that I would like to be more than that.

I have had too much fun, I believe--or at least, I have lived my life too frivolously before now. I intend to make something of myself now, rather than being simply a pretty decoration for the court.

[ Shrug. ] Either way, I was on my way to fight in another war so... Actually not having to worry about my legs now makes me feel much better. So don't worry about it, alright? I can take care of myself.
